SUNDAY SCHOOL, FAITH BUILDING: Winter  Semester, starting January 8th, 10:10am to 10:50am.  Bring a Friend.

"Fearless: Imagine Your Life Without Fear". This is a series bases on Max Lucado's book which explores our fears and letting faith rule our lives.

PRESENT WORK class:  Workroom, for details contact Gary Darden (346-9093)

The study this quarter focuses on God's Covenant through Abraham. The theological emphasis is on faith. God promised Abraham that through him all the nations of the earth would be blessed, and that promise was passed on from generation to generation until it was fulfilled in Christ. The lessons for this quarter are taken from Genesis, Exodus, Luke, and Galations. God's promise to Abraham is passed on from generation to generation and carried with Anraham's descendants into Egypt. The final lesson of the unit considers the songs of Moses and Miriam in Ex. 15. God delivesr Israel and leads them to safety in the desert. God's covenant faithfulness is proved again.

The Children & Their Families Ministry Team

The Children and Their Families Ministry Team oversees and coordinates the educational activities and care for infants through fifth graders. Our mission is to teach children to love God, love each other and love the world.  We strive to develop a strong faith in our children that will continue to grow during their middle and high school years.  All are invited to attend the regular Children and their Families Ministry Team meetings - just contact one of the following:

Director of Children's Ministries & Promises Preschool Kerri Palmer & Lois Watkins

Elders:  Carol Givens & Sherri Belotti

Jesus saw something in childhood besides the future.  He recognized worth and value in the state of “being a child”.

We will be using our Sunday School offering to purchase animals through Heifer International, to help support families and communities in need.

Come be part of our Senior High and Junior High Youth Groups... We'd love to have you be part of our programs and ministries! They are open to any 6th - 12th grade youth seeking a Christian community of faith where they can grow, fellowship and build relationships!
Welcome to Three Chopt Presbyterian Church!
We invite you to join us!  We have Inquirer classes in the fall, winter and spring at 10:00 am on Sundays in the Parlor. This class gives you a chance to meet other prospective members, elders and leaders of the church, and to learn much more about Three Chopt Presbyterian Church.  Review the following and contact one of the pastors with any questions.

There are several easy ways to become a member:

a.  by Profession of Faith in Jesus Christ, and Baptism -- If you have not been baptized, you may join by making a public profession of faith and being baptized. Those previously baptized simply need to publicly profess their faith.
b.  by Reaffirmation of Faith -- If you have been a member of a Christian church but have not been active in recent years, you may join by reaffirming your need of and dependence on Christ
c.  by Certificate of Transfer -- If you have made a profession of faith and are a member of another church, you may join by transferring your membership.  After you join Three Chopt, we will contact your former church and request your certificate of membership transfer.

The Day You Join - You will gather for photographs and a meeting with the Session.  You will be received into membership by answering the following questions:
1. Do you trust in Jesus Christ and accept him as your Lord and Savior?
2. Do you intend to be Christ's faithful disciple, seeking to obey his teaching and to show his love to your life's end?
3. Do you intend to continue in the covenant God made with you in your baptism, to be a faithful member of this congregation, to share in its ministry through your prayers and gifts, your study and service, and so fulfill your calling to be a disciple of Jesus Christ?

You will be welcomed and introduced to the congregation at a worship service following your meeting with the Session.
