Present Word - Location Workroom

The Fall Quarter series focuses on gthe nature of God as tghe first person on the Trinity. It's three units look at Old Testment texts from the Exodus narrative and from the poetry of Psalms. TGhis class meets in the workroom at 9:30am. For further infomation, contactg Gary Darden at 346-9093.

Weekday Lunch Groups

You, your friends and coworkers are invited to gather together for lunch once a month during the work week. TCPC is hosting lunch gatherings in three locations and you are invited to join us for a time of sharing and fellowship. Here are the dates and places for the upcoming lunch gatherings, all of which meet at noon:

 

  Innsbrook Group: Grapevine II (Three Chopt and Church), 3rd Wednesday-September 15th, noon

  Downtown Group: Just Willies Café (600 E Main St), 4th Wednesday-September 22nd, noon

  West End Group: Nanking (7408 W Broad St), 4th Friday-September 24th, noon

Third Wednesday of the Month at 10:30am.

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, September 15th at 10:30am and plan to attend the opening session of Bible Blazers. Bring a friend too! This group meets on the thrid Wednesday of the month. This is a great way to meet people, keep up with Church friends and news and learn just a little about the Bible. Wednesday Morning Men's Bible Study

We are continuing our study of the book Have A Little Faith, by Mitch Albom. Those who were born into faith, have lost faith, or are still searching will all be engaged and challenged by this powerful story of "finding faith" in relationships with others and with something greater than ourselves. In the book, Albom moves between two different worlds, Christian and Jewish, African-American and white, improverished and well-to-do, observing how two very different men employ faith similarly in fighting for survival: the older, suburban rabbi embracing it as death approaches; the younger, inner-city pastor relying on it to keep himslef and his church afloat. This is book about a life's purpose; about losing belief and finding it again; about the divine spark inside us all. It is one man's journey, but it is everyone's story.  Men of TCPC who enjoy the ‘Crack of Dawn’ are welcome to join this study.

Men’s Fellowship and Nurture Group

The new series of meetings will begin on September 25th. We will meet for breakfast at 7:30am and we will have Donald Marden (Pastor) the Associate Director of the Presbytery Frontier Fellowship (PFF) and is now serving Russia. Come and enjoy food, fellowship and be nurtured with us. Note: October 23rd, Patricia O'Bannon, Henrico Board of Supervisors, will be our guest speaker.

Food for the Soul

This group prepares simple meals for individuals who are ill, suffering a loss, or celebrating an occasion. No cooking skills are required.

 

Prayer Shawl Ministry

WEDNESDAYS AT 7:00 PM CONTACT, JOAN KERBY (364-2838)

This group meets every Wednesday evening at 7PM at the church. We knit for those in need. We welcome new members and will teach anyone who would like to knit. Yarn is available.

 

Career Prospectors

Meets each Tuesday morning 7:45-9:45am in the UFH. This is a very active networking group for workers in transition. We provide mentoring, training opportunities, refresher techniques for interviewing, resume writing, timely gathering of job information, and general support as you travel your path to a new career position.
