TCPC is starting a food pantry to help provide people with their daily bread! CLICK on the Food Basket and learn more...
Jesus invites us to pray that God grant us our daily bread. In these difficult economic times many households are having trouble making ends meet, and as Christ's body we are called to care for the whole person, body and soul. Providing enough food for several meals a week can help ease the pressure on a household and help them use resources spent on food to help meet their other obligations.
To help provide people with their daily bread TCPC is starting a food pantry, and we need your help. Our pantry will be open for food pick up on Tuesdays from 5pm to 6:30pm. We need...
- volunteers to staff the pantry at this time (Tuesdays from 5pm to 6:30pm)
- people with the gift of hospitality to welcome people who come for food.
- people good at administration to help us schedule volunteers.
- people to return phone calls to those who wish to use the pantry
- and people of all ages, from young children to senior adults who can help sort food and stock shelves.
- people who can help us make sure the room for the food pantry is set up to allow for maximum storage and is spacious enough for people to walk around.
If you are willing to help we can use your gifts. We can also accommodate different schedules, with volunteer commitments ranging from a few hours a week to two hours a month.
